Scratch the surface of the Lib Dems...

On the afternoon of Tuesday, October 29th 2019 it was determined that a General Election would be held on December 12th . Although not a surprise to most people, it was not certain that this would happen on the morning of that day, nevertheless ON THE SAME day Liberal Democrat election leaflets arrived at households in the constituency.
This is the second time that the local Lib Dems have shown remarkable, almost supernatural, prescience about the arrival of elections, the first being only a few months ago when their election material for the Shropshire Council by election in Bishop’s Castle started to arrive before the election had even been announced!
It is not impossible that Andy Boddington’s ectoplasmic hat can pick up advance information
transmissions from the ether, or, it may be that this sneaky party is quite capable of, well, cheating, using inside information to steal a march on its opponents.
Local Lib Dems outwardly resemble decent people but a little scratching of the surface reveals the same treacherous nature as their national leader.
One also wonders if the cost of these leaflet appear will on their election expenses, given that the campaign has not yet officially started.
This is just a minor example of the deceptions this, outwardly respectable, party are prepared to use in their desperate quest for power.
One of their latest and most disgusting, as it involves a fraud to be perpetrated on well-meaning members of the public wanting to get rid of the present appalling Tory government, is the arrival of a ‘tactical voting website’ – ‘Getvoting.org’, set up by ‘Best for Britain’, Gina Miller’s campaign organisation - offering voters advice on how to vote in their constituency in order to unseat or keep out the Tories. This is under the guise of ‘stopping Brexit’, a dubious aim in itself.
In fact, it is a blatant attempt to get people to vote Lib Dem in constituencies in which they have no chance of winning, often where they polled less than 5% of the votes or were 25,000 votes behind the winner in the last general election. This is mis-selling on a grand and cynical way.
The website’s party of choice to overturn Philip Dunne in Ludlow is, you guessed it, the Lib Dems, when the 2017 general election vote resulted in the Labour Party more than doubling their vote to take second place almost 7000 votes ahead of the LDs.
Why does it do this? The answer is simple when you know that Best for Britain’s CEO is one, Naomi Smith, a former Lib Dem PPC (Prospective Parliamentary Candidate) and, as we can see, a chum of Nick (FaceBookAche) Clegg.
Living up to new non-investigative journalism standards, the Guardian – and some TV news
programmes – featured the launch of this website. To be fair, the Grauniad has now reported that the site has ‘been criticised’ for its rather odd advice.

Not for the first time, Bandy advises anyone contemplating voting for the Lib Dems (Dirty Tricks our Speciality) to beware of ANYTHING they say.
